Exposing a vegetable or fruit to heat during its drying and powdering steps causes them to oxidize rapidly, thus depleting their antioxidant potential. All of our greens are powdered in cold or ambient temperatures, maintaining the maximum amount of their raw potential.
Unless stated otherwise, everything out there is either air-dried or drum-dried. These drying methods cause the greens to lose tons of micronutrient potential, but manufacturers love them because they are cheap. If the product doesn't specifically state its superior drying process, it's because they are dried using cheap methods.
You'll find common dietary greens in this product such as kale and spinach, but we looked to add less-common green superfoods that are not in the daily diet of most people, such as wheatgrass juice and broccoli sprouts.
SUPERFOODS WITH A PURPOSE
A common approach to greens products is to throw in a bunch of random ingredients to make the label look really long. Fibers, digestive enzymes, probiotics, you name it.
Taking random amounts of all of those isn't the answer for better digestion. In fact, it can make things worse. We instead focused on micronutrient nutrition.
