In one eight-week randomized controlled trial in healthy adults, the combination of supplementation with 7-Keto® DHEA, diet, and exercise resulted in better weight management and body composition at the end of the trial, compared to diet and exercise alone.
In another controlled clinical study, healthy adults were put on a calorie-restricted diet plus 7-Keto® DHEA or placebo. Individuals who received placebo experienced a decrease in resting metabolic rate — a normal outcome of dieting — while those who received 7-Keto® DHEA experienced an increase in metabolic rate. None of the participants in either of these studies reported any side effects of taking 7-Keto® DHEA.
